Position Overview:
The Co-Executive Director, Global Head of Fundraising and Development will report to the Founder/CEO and Board of Directors and will play a pivotal role in leading all aspects of fundraising. Using a diversity of strategies you will execute our fundraising plan, grow a fundraising BOD, and ensure we are able to meet RF’s goal of raising $1.5M/year to support programs and organizational growth within three years. This includes developing individual gifts and major giving programs, managing our current US government grants, securing new relationships with private foundations, and cultivating corporate sponsorships. The role also involves helping to oversee the non-profit’s administrative and finance management, cultivate long term donor stewardship, and create and execute communications to develop online giving through social media fundraising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the development and execution of RF’s fundraising strategy.
– Manage current US government grants, including applications, reporting, financial reimbursements and compliance (Currently RF has 2 USDA RDBG 2024-2025 grants).
– Oversee administrative and finance tasks, including annual budgets, yearly audit, and coordinate with our bookkeeper.
– Support donor stewardship, events, and donor outreach through online and in-person engagement.
– Develop and manage social media communications and fundraising campaigns, including updating RF’s website using professional volunteers and consultants.
Qualifications:
– 15+ years of international non-profit fundraising experience, including managing large government grants (USAID, USDA, DIFID, AUSAID,etc.) private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
– Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in growing early-stage non-profits.
– Excellent communication, donor cultivation, and project management skills.
– Proficiency in social media marketing and donor management tools.
– Knowledge of regenerative agriculture, experience in climate adaptation, and gender-based international agricultural development and indigenous rights is essential.
-Highly experienced with US government grants management and proposal development required
-Strong relationships with a breadth of donors relevant to small international organizations working in the gender and agriculture space also required
